- Magnetic GB Plate
- Legal Requirement for European Travel
- Tested to 130mph
The magnetic GB plate MUST be removed regularly, at least once a week, cleaned, dried and repositioned. Ideally, the magnetic GB Plate should be placed in a different position each time it is cleaned, to prevent uneven weathering of paintwork.
Before positioning always ensure surfaces of both vehicle and magnetic GB plate are clean and dry.
If possible avoid placing the magnetic GB plate on heavily contoured body areas and always ensure all edges are in contact with steel panels. Where the contours of the vehicle change abruptly, crease the magnetic GB plate firmly (which does no damage to it), in order to give proper adhesion.
Avoid placing the magnetic GB plate on re-painted surfaces, as solvent in the paint may cause the plate to 'stick', with possible damage occuring.
Avoid using on body panels which have been repaired using body filler.
Remove the magnetic GB plate before using a Car Wash.
Remove the magnetic GB plate after your trip to avoid uneven weathering of paintwork.
When not in use the magnetic GB plate should be kept flat, preferably stored on a sheet of steel (eg Fridge), to prevent the plate gathering airborne ferrous dust.
